The development of the first SeConRob Use Case is on track and implementation is well under way.
This use case consists of four processing steps and includes : magnetic particle inspection of the whole part, defect removal process by plasma gouging, a welding process to fill-up the defective areas and
a surface finishing step. SAFE METAL has been responsible for the construction and integration of a new robotic line in its factory, which was specifically designed to support the execution of this use case.
Following the design work in 2023 and the conclusion of the procurement process in 2024, the construction work has been completed at the beginning of this year. The next step in the process is the connection of the robots to the control unit, which is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. Thereafter, the partners intend to conduct the preliminary testing to implement all the processes in real conditions before developing self-configuring technologies..
