Ultrasonic Inspection

PROFACTOR focused the last months on the hardware setup of the robotic work cell for the ultrasonic inspection process steps. The main goal was to achieve a 100% volume coverage of the inspected part without moving the part. The computed path of the robot was validated through simulation from OttoFuchs and evaluated by the acquired sound signals. In thight collaboration with ACS the signals were discussed and adaptions to the setup and calibration have been made. The robotic workcell at PROFACTOR will also be used for the development of the automatic reconfiguration tool, which enables a quick and easy path planning tailormade for each type of part.
